Job Overview

This will be a casual role to support our team during the busy summer season at our Torrensville warehouse, with potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Carrying out any tasks given by Team Leader
• Washing glassware, cutlery and crockery in our commercial dishwashers
• Cleaning and testing of catering equipment
• Polishing glassware and cutlery
• Packing items correctly and adding correct labels
• Washing linen, vinyl in commercial washer, dryer and rolling press
• Organising and prepping relevant orders
• Abide by company WHS policies and procedures
• General clean and tidy of the kitchen and workspace

Qualifications & Skills

Below is a list of the qualifications and skills that are necessary for someone to fill this position:

• Experience in working in a kitchen or as a cleaner
• Experience using a commercial washer, dryer and rolling press is a bonus
• Willingness to learn and listen to instructions
• Physically fit
• Efficient and able to keep up with our fast-paced work environment
• Shows initiative and has strong attention to detail

Storeperson

Olympic Party Hire is seeking a full time Storeperson, who will be responsible for the receiving and dispatch of products, managing quality control and safety in a fast paced warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with the Warehouse and Maintenance Managers to ensure warehouse(s) are kept tidy and abide by all WHS processes.
• Ensure all items being received back from hires are checked thoroughly and brought to the relevant areas (ie. kitchen, repairs).
• Ensure any faulty items being received back are recorded in our internal CRM and flagged with relevant team members
• Implement processes and strategies to keep the warehouse tidy and run as efficiently as possible
• Manage Safety processes within the warehouse -ensure all first aid kits are stocked, fire extinguishers are in date, evacuation plans are up to date, etc.
• Assist in general warehouse duties when needed such as loading and unloading trucks

About you:

• Holds a forklift licence and is confident using a forklift
• Holds a White Card licence

• Preferably has repair skills and general maintenance knowledge
• Physically fit
• Preferably has experience in working in a fast paced warehouse

• Knowledge and understanding of WHS policies and Safety procedures
• Willingness to learn and listen to direction when required
• Efficient and able to keep up with our fast-paced work environment – prioritising is a must
• Strong communication skills and is confident speaking with all team members
• Shows initiative and has strong attention to detail
• Confidence in using computers and can easily learn internal CRM system
• Has permanent rights to work in Australia with no restrictions

Maintenance & Repairs Technician

Flexible position: Casual or Part Time

Olympic Party Hire is looking for a Maintenance & Repairs Technician to help keep our wide range of event equipment in good working order. This role suits someone practical and reliable, whether you’re just starting out or you already have repair experience and are looking for steady work.

We’re a family-owned business and take pride in working together and getting the job done well.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on event and party hire equipment
• Find and fix faults as they arise
• Suggest practical ways to improve or extend the life of equipment
• Provide occasional repair or troubleshooting support to our office staff
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and safe
  

Qualifications & skills include:

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Hands-on repair and maintenance experience
• Able to use hand and power tools with confidence
• Practical problem-solving ability
• Good communication and the ability to handle several tasks at once
